ACTIVITY PLANNING WORKSHOP
Date: 31/07/2019
Venue: MGMCET , Pampakuda
​
An activity planning workshop was conducted to plan the activities for the next academic year. It was inaugurated by the Principal Dr T.K Mani. The program officers and senior NSS volunteers participated in the workshop. The tentative activity chart for the next academic year was prepared during the workshop.

FLOOD COLLECTION POINT

Venue: MGMCET ,Pampakuda

A flood collection point was organized at our college to collect basic commodities. The collected commodities were handed over to relief camps through Ernakulam dist. collectorate. Commodities worth 1.5lakhs approximately were collected by the students.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Date: 15/08/2019
Venue: MGMCET, Pampakuda

Independence day celebration was conducted on 15/08/2019 from 9AM to12 PM. Flag was hoisted by the Principal Dr.T.K Mani. The academic Director Prof. K.U Abraham, faculties and students participated in the ceremony

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FRESHERS
Date: 23/08/2019
Venue: MGMCET, Pampakuda

Orientation programme was conducted for second year students on 23/08/2020 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. The sessions were handled by Mr .Sulphicar Ali(Young Motivator,Former NSS Volunteer Secretary).Around 60 students participated in the programme.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Date: 04/09/2019
Venue: MGMCET,Pampakuda
Blood donation camp was organized in the college on 04/09/2019.Blood was donated to Amritha Institute of medical sciences, Kochi. Around 46 students donated blood in the programme.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
Date: 05/09/2019
Venue: MGMCET, Pampakuda
On teachers day, the NSS volunteers honoured teachers with flowers and cards. An essay writing competition was also conducted.

7 DAY ANNUAL SPECIAL CAMP
Date: 06/09/2019-12/09/2019
Venue: Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ooramana
​
The NSS unit of MGMCET organized a 7 day special camp in Govt. Higher secondary School, Ooramana Muvattupuzha Ernakulam from 06/09/2019 to 12/09/2019. The main project for this camp was Punarjani, medicinal garden planation. The volunteers of NSS unit also performed activities such as campus cleaning, painting etc… The eminent personalities who visited the camp were Adv. Anoop Jacob (MLA piravom), Mr. Eldhose kunnappilli (MLA perumbavoor), Mr. Eldho Abraham (MLA muvattupuzha) and Ajitha S (State coordinator NSS techcell)

DAY1
The camp started with flag hoisting ceremony followed by lamp lightening and NSS song. An awareness class on Health and Hygiene was taken by medical team (CHC Ramamangalam) . After the awareness class an icebreaking session was conducted.

DAY2
The second day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga class and parade session by Mr. Vishnu Narayanan (International yoga trainer). The camp was inaugurated by Adv. Anoop Jacob (MLA). After inauguration ceremony the volunteers went for campus cleaning. In the afternoon session an awareness class on personality development and leadership quality was conducted by Mr. Varghese Paul.

DAY3
The third day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga class and parade session. After morning session the volunteers went for ‘Shramadhan’. The afternoon session was about a talk on SWOT analysis by Mr. Ajesh K.P(Kerala police janamaithri trainer). In the evening ,Camp arts festival was inaugurated by programme officer and the volunteers performed various cultural events.

DAY4
The fourth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga class and parade session. In the morning session the volunteers went to ‘Shramadhan’ and ‘Punarjani’ project. A disaster management training program was conducted by the fire and safety department Piravom. In afternoon session Dr. M.M Joseph did a talk on’ Jaivavaividhya samrakshanam’.

DAY5
The fifth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga class and parade session. After that ,the volunteers went to ‘Shramadhan’, &’Medicinal garden making’. Ajitha S(state coordinator NSS techcell) visited the camp on that day. Afternoon session was conducted by Dr. Lisa John (Asst. Prof. Govt. Medical college, Kollam) about’ Reveling of the untold stories perspective of a forensic pathologist’. Camp arts festival was conducted followed by the interactive session with Mr. Eldhose kunnappilli (MLA perumbavoor).

DAY6
The sixth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga class and parade session. After the session of ‘Punarjani project’ and ‘Shramadhan’ , different games were conducted as part of onam celebration. Mr. Eldho Abhraham (MLA muvattupuzha) interacted with the volunteers, followed by an awareness class on’ Insecurities in Cyberspace’ conducted by Mr. Thalhath P.M (police cyber cell, Aluva).

DAY7
The seventh day started with morning assembly and yoga class. After morning assembly,best paraders were selected from the volunteers. Then a feedback session was conducted for sharing the experience of volunteers. The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Prof.Dr. T.K Mani (Principal MGMCET) . The camp ended at 2:30 pm on 12/09/2019

GADHIJAYANTHI CELEBRATIONS

Venue: MGMCET Pampakuda, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ooramana, Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam
As part of Gandhi jayanthi celebrations, a two day residential camp was organized.

DAY 1
The camp started at 5 PM on 01/10/2019. Programme officer gave a brief description about the life of Mahatma Gandhi. A painting competition and Quiz about ‘Gandhian Thoughts’ were conducted for NSS volunteers.

DAY2
As part of ‘Sevanavaram’ the NSS volunteers cleaned campus of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ooramana and also painted two office rooms . Around 40 volunteers participated in the camp.

PRE RD PREPARATORY CAMP
Date: 07/10/2019,08/10/2019
Venue: Mgmcet ,Pampakuda
A State level two day PRE RD preparatory camp was conducted in the college. Selected volunteers from different colleges participated in the camp. The valedictory function was inaugurated by Mrs.Ajith S.(State NSS programme cocordinator)

NATURE STUDY CAMP

A two day nature camp was organized for NSS volunteers to Thenmala, Kollam.

CORONA VIRUS AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Date: 26/02/2020
Venue: MGMCET,Pampakuda
A Corona virus awareness programme was organized in the college. The class was taken by Shaji B (Health Inspector,Pamapkuda).Around 70 students participated in the class.
