DAY ANNUAL SPECIAL CAMP

The  NSS unit of MGMCET organized a 7 day special camp in Govt. Higher  secondary School, Ooramana Muvattupuzha Ernakulam from 06/09/2019 to  12/09/2019. The main project for this camp was Punarjani, medicinal  garden planation. The volunteers of NSS unit also performed activities  such as campus cleaning, painting etc… The eminent personalities who  visited the camp were Adv. Anoop Jacob (MLA piravom), Mr. Eldhose  kunnappilli (MLA perumbavoor), Mr. Eldho  Abraham (MLA muvattupuzha) and  Ajitha S (State coordinator NSS techcell)

DAY1

The  camp started   with flag hoisting ceremony followed by   lamp  lightening and NSS song. An awareness class on Health and Hygiene was  taken  by medical team (CHC Ramamangalam) . After  the awareness class  an icebreaking session was conducted.

DAY2

The  second day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly,  yoga class and parade session by Mr. Vishnu Narayanan (International  yoga trainer). The camp was inaugurated by Adv. Anoop Jacob (MLA). After  inauguration ceremony the volunteers went for campus cleaning. In the  afternoon session an awareness class on personality development and  leadership quality was conducted by Mr. Varghese Paul.

DAY3

The  third day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga  class and parade session. After morning session the volunteers went for  ‘Shramadhan’. The afternoon session was about a talk on SWOT analysis  by Mr. Ajesh K.P(Kerala police janamaithri trainer). In the evening  ,Camp arts festival was inaugurated by programme officer and the  volunteers performed various cultural events.

DAY4

The  fourth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly,  yoga class and parade session. In the morning session the volunteers  went to ‘Shramadhan’ and ‘Punarjani’ project. A disaster management  training program was  conducted by the fire and safety department  Piravom. In afternoon session Dr. M.M Joseph did a talk on’  Jaivavaividhya samrakshanam’.

DAY5

The  fifth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga  class and parade session. After that ,the volunteers went to  ‘Shramadhan’, &’Medicinal garden making’. Ajitha S(state coordinator  NSS techcell) visited the camp on that day. Afternoon session was   conducted by Dr. Lisa John (Asst. Prof. Govt. Medical college, Kollam)  about’ Reveling of the untold stories perspective of a forensic  pathologist’. Camp arts festival was conducted followed by the   interactive session with Mr. Eldhose kunnappilli (MLA perumbavoor).

DAY6

The  sixth day started with flag hoisting followed by morning assembly, yoga  class and parade session. After the session of ‘Punarjani project’ and  ‘Shramadhan’ , different games were  conducted as part of onam  celebration. Mr. Eldho Abhraham (MLA muvattupuzha)  interacted with the  volunteers, followed by  an awareness class on’ Insecurities in  Cyberspace’  conducted by Mr. Thalhath P.M (police cyber cell, Aluva).

DAY7

The  seventh day  started with morning assembly and yoga class. After  morning assembly,best paraders were selected from the volunteers. Then a  feedback session was conducted for sharing the experience of  volunteers. The closing ceremony was  inaugurated  by  Prof.Dr. T.K Mani  (Principal MGMCET) . The camp ended at 2:30 pm on 12/09/2019.
