Career Mapping Session

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering , MGM College of Engineering &
Technology organized a career mapping session for S1 students titled “Career Mapping Session” to
aimed at providing early guidance on academic planning and future career opportunities in the
engineering domain. The session also included an informative discussion on the importance of the
GATE examination for higher studies and professional advancement.

The main objectives of the Career Mapping Session were to::
• Create awareness among first-year students about various career pathways in Computer
Science and emerging technological fields.

• Help students understand the relevance of skill development, certifications, and industry-
oriented learning from the initial stages of their engineering program.

• Highlight the significance of the GATE exam as a gateway to prestigious postgraduate
programs, research opportunities, and recruitment in leading public sector undertakings
(PSUs).
• Motivate students to plan their academic journey strategically by aligning academic
performance, extracurricular skills, and long-term career goals.
